What are the client platforms and hardware supported by NavSDK?


NavSDK is supported on WinXP, WinMob5.0, WinCE5.0(ARM processor), WinCE5.0(x86), operating systems and on devices with minimum 300 MHz processor and a RAM of 32 MB and 2GB of flash memory, and 3.5 inch QVGA and 4.3 inch WQVGA screens.

What kind of interface support does NavSDK provide and what languages do they support?


NavSDK is offered as static libraries for the Windows platform. NavSDK APIs are written in C++ and C .

What are the modules/Components of NavSDK?


The main modules of NavSDK are Route Guidance, Route calculation, Destination selection, Vehicle Positioning, Map Display. For other supporting modules, refer to the Architecture diagram.

What kind of sensors does the SDK support for Vehicle positioning?


Stand-alone GPS sensors and gyroscope sensor.

What graphic systems does the SDK support?


Currently Windows GDI is being supported. In the future Open-GL, Direct Draw, AGG will be supported.

Will sample code be available?


The NavSDK API comes with a sample application illustrating many of the features that the API supports, as well as an application developers guide.

What kind of development environment and application frame-work does the sample application use?


The sample application is built with Visual Studio 2005, and builds with cross-platform wxWidgets framework.

Can the individual modules of the SDK be substituted with custom ones?


Yes, some modules are more easily replaceable than others.(ex. Map Display)

What countries are supported for map and POI data?


Map coverage for the RMN data currently are for North America and Canada. RMN data for other geographies can be built as needed.
